Glaucoma Consultants participates with many insurance companies including Medicare, Capital District Physicians Health Plan, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, MVP, Aetna and many more. When you make your appointment with us we will ask you what your health insurance company is. While we participate with most insurance companies each individual plan is different. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company to make sure we are a participating provider. If you have an insurance plan that requires you to have a referral before seeing a specialist, the referral must be presented when you check in. If you are unsure whether a referral is required, please contact your insurance company. You are financially responsible for any services not covered by your insurance company.
