Dr. Morier is a 1982 honors graduate of SUNY College of Optometry. He has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo.

He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical College. He has been the Director of Low Vision at the Glens Falls Association for the Blind since 1984. Dr. Morier is Chair of the Low Vision Committee of the New York State Optometric Association. He has served as President of the Eastern New York Optometric Society as well as Chair of the PAC Committee for New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Optometry.

Dr. Morier recently stepped down after ten years on the State Board of Optometry for the New York State Education Department. He is the Medical Consultant for the New York State Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped. He has a private practice in Schenectady as well as at the Glaucoma Consultants of the Capital Region in Slingerlands where he provides Primary Eye Care, Low Vision and specialty contact lenses.
